Yes. Share the deck link, and on Pro you can turn on live follow-along so students see whatever slide you are on.

Can I edit the slides after they are generated?

Everything is editable by hand, and you can also describe changes to Magic for one slide, a boxed area, or the whole deck.

Is it safe to share decks with students?

Decks are private by default. You choose which are public, and you can protect any deck with a password.
