The 10 best AI presentation makers in 2026, compared
There are now dozens of tools that turn a prompt into slides, and they differ far more than their landing pages suggest: in what the AI actually builds, what you pay once credits run out, and whether the file survives the trip into PowerPoint. We compared the ten that matter most in late 2026. Full disclosure: we make InstaPresentation, so we've kept every other entry to facts you can check on each tool's own pricing page, and we say plainly where a competitor is the better pick.

How we compared them
- What the AI actually builds. A title and bullets, or a finished deck with charts, tables, images and speaker notes?
- Editing after the first draft. Can you ask the AI to change one slide, or a part of a slide, without regenerating everything?
- Real cost. Monthly price, what the credits cover, and what happens when they run out.
- Getting out. PowerPoint and PDF export, and how you present and share.
- Common complaints. Recurring issues in public reviews, stated fairly.
1. Gamma
Gamma turns a prompt, pasted notes or an imported file into a deck of scrolling "cards", and it also makes documents and simple websites. It's quick, the default look is modern, and exports cover PPTX, PDF, PNG and Google Slides. Pro adds analytics, password protection, custom domains and an API.
Price: free with 400 one-time credits; Plus $12 a month ($9 billed yearly); Pro $25 ($18 billed yearly); Ultra $100 ($90 billed yearly) (gamma.app/pricing). Watch for: the free plan's credits don't refill and free decks carry a "Made with Gamma" badge, and reviewers often say the PowerPoint export needs tidying because the card layout doesn't map neatly onto 16:9 slides. See our full Gamma comparison.
2. Canva
Canva's AI (Magic Design and Canva AI) drafts a presentation from a prompt using its huge template and stock library. If your team already makes social posts, flyers and docs in Canva, keeping decks there is convenient, and the brand kit keeps them consistent.
Price: free plan; Pro US$144 a year for one person, about $12 a month (canva.com/pricing). Watch for: AI results tend to be a nicely filled template rather than a structured argument, and team features sit on the Business plan. See Canva vs InstaPresentation.
3. Microsoft PowerPoint with Copilot
Copilot inside PowerPoint can build a deck from a prompt and, with a work Copilot license, from a Word file. The big advantage is that the result is a true .pptx that fits your company's templates and IT policies from the start.
Price: Microsoft 365 Personal is $9.99 a month and includes Copilot, capped at 60 AI credits a month on Personal and Family plans (Microsoft support); business Copilot is a separate license. Watch for: the design often looks like standard PowerPoint and needs polishing, and costs add up as licenses stack.
4. Google Slides with Gemini
Since June 29, 2026, Gemini can generate a full, natively editable Slides deck, grounded in files from your Drive and matched to the style of another deck, with an outline you can edit first (Google Workspace Updates).
Price: included in eligible Google Workspace plans, or with Google AI Pro at $19.99 a month for personal accounts. Watch for: it launched in US English only, with usage limits, and it's still new, so there are few independent reviews yet.
5. Beautiful.ai
Beautiful.ai's "Smart Slides" rearrange themselves as you add content, so decks stay tidy and on-brand without manual nudging. AI generation, AI images, translation, PowerPoint import and export, and viewer analytics are included.
Price: no free plan (14-day trial); Pro $14.50 a month billed yearly, or $45 for a single month; Team $40 per user per month billed yearly (beautiful.ai/pricing). Watch for: the auto-layout that keeps things neat also limits free placement, and some reviewers find the style dated. See Beautiful.ai vs InstaPresentation.
6. Pitch
Pitch is a collaborative deck editor for startups and teams, with shared workspaces, templates and links that show who viewed which slides and for how long. AI generation runs on credits.
Price: free with 100 one-time AI credits and PDF-only export with Pitch branding; Plus €10 a month billed yearly (500 credits a month, PowerPoint export); Team €15; Business €20 (pitch.com/pricing). Watch for: the AI is not the main draw, and solo users pay for team features they may not use.
7. Prezi
Prezi is the zooming canvas: instead of slide after slide, you move around one big map of ideas, which suits teachers and keynote-style speakers. Prezi AI drafts a presentation and helps with design.
Price: Basic is free (presentations are public); Standard $7, Plus $19 and Premium $29 a month, billed yearly (prezi.com/pricing). Watch for: the non-linear style takes practice to present well, and the paid plans start as a 14-day trial that becomes a subscription.
8. Plus AI
Plus AI is an add-in that works inside Google Slides and PowerPoint, so the output is a native file in your existing templates. It can generate a whole deck, insert or rewrite single slides, and (on Pro) work from uploaded documents.
Price: no free plan (7-day trial); Basic $10 a month billed yearly or $15 monthly; Pro $20 billed yearly or $25 monthly (plusai.com/pricing). Watch for: results look as good as the templates you already have, which for many companies means "corporate".
9. Presentations.AI
Presentations.AI is a standalone AI deck builder with brand-voice settings, PowerPoint and PDF export on every tier, and engagement tracking on shared decks.
Price: Starter is free with 100 credits a year and up to 20 slides; Pro $20 a month ($240 billed yearly); Gold $50 a month (presentations.ai/pricing). Watch for: paid plans are billed yearly, and the free credits don't refill monthly.
10. InstaPresentation
InstaPresentation (that's us) turns one sentence into a finished, animated deck: real charts and tables, AI images checked for mistakes before they're used, icons, diagrams you can edit box by box, and speaker notes. Then it gives you the tools to deliver it.
- Edit with AI at any size: ask Magic to change one slide, the whole deck, or just a box you draw on a slide.
- Scientific and technical decks: labeled figures, native diagrams, LaTeX equations, and charts built only from real data (never made-up "illustrative" numbers).
- Presenting: your own link (instapresentation.com/yourname), live follow-along so viewers see your current slide, your phone as a remote, live chat and reactions.
- Recording: record your talk with automatic captions and export a narrated MP4.
- Getting out: PowerPoint and PDF export, save to Google Drive, and an offline copy on a USB stick.
Price: try it free (edit every slide by hand; presenting or downloading an AI deck takes one share or $1); Hub $6 a month ($4.80 billed yearly) with 150 AI credits; Pro $12 ($9.60 billed yearly) with 400 credits; Studio $14 with 600 credits (instapresentation.com/pricing). Watch for: we're newer and smaller than most tools here, team features like co-editing and viewer analytics are still on the way, and on the free plan an AI deck needs one share or $1 before you can present or download it.
Honorable mentions: general AI assistants
General assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Genspark and Manus can also produce slide files. They're flexible and handy if you already pay for one, but they're built for every kind of task rather than for designing and presenting decks, so expect to do more of the layout and presenting work yourself. And if you're looking for a Tome alternative: Tome stopped making presentations in 2025, so any tool on this list is a replacement.

| Already design everything in Canva | Canva |
| Need strictly on-brand corporate decks | Beautiful.ai |

Why we think InstaPresentation is the best choice for most people
We're biased, so here is the case in concrete terms. Most tools on this list stop at "here's a draft". InstaPresentation is built around the whole job: getting from an idea to a deck worth presenting, and then presenting it well.
- The first draft is a finished deckOne sentence gives you designed, animated slides with real charts, tables, images, icons and speaker notes, not a skeleton of titles and bullets to fill in.
- Every AI image is checkedEach generated picture goes through a second AI review for mangled hands, gibberish text and impossible objects, and is redrawn before it reaches your slide.
- Editing stays preciseChange one slide, the whole deck, or a region you box on a slide. Diagrams arrive as editable shapes, and figure labels move on their own.
- Presenting is built inYour own link, live follow-along, phone remote, live chat and reactions, and recording with captions are part of the product, not add-ons.
- It costs lessPaid plans start at $6 a month, well below most alternatives here, with 100-credit top-ups for $5 when you need more.
If you're locked into Microsoft or Google templates, their built-in AI or Plus AI may suit you better, and we'd rather tell you that than lose your trust. For everyone else, the fastest way to decide is to try it: type a sentence and see what comes back.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI presentation maker in 2026?
It depends on where you work. For native PowerPoint files inside company templates, Copilot or Plus AI; for Google Workspace, Gemini in Slides; for Canva users, Canva. For a finished, designed deck from one sentence that you can present live from your own link at a low price, we recommend InstaPresentation (we make it).
Is there a free AI presentation maker?
Yes. Gamma, Canva, Pitch, Prezi, Presentations.AI and InstaPresentation all have free plans, with limits. Gamma, Pitch and Presentations.AI give a fixed number of credits that don't refill monthly, and InstaPresentation's free plan lets you generate a deck and edit every slide by hand, with presenting and downloading it unlocked by one share (your first deck) or $1.
Which AI presentation tools export to PowerPoint?
Gamma, Canva, Beautiful.ai, Pitch (paid plans), Presentations.AI and InstaPresentation export .pptx files, while PowerPoint with Copilot and Plus AI work on native PowerPoint files directly. Always check tricky layouts after exporting from any web-based tool.
What happened to Tome?
Tome stopped offering its presentation product in 2025 and moved to a different business. If you used it for slides, any of the tools in this comparison can replace it.
Can ChatGPT or Claude make a presentation?
They can generate slide files, and that's useful for simple decks. Dedicated presentation tools add design systems, image checking, editing tools and presenting features that general assistants don't focus on.
How much should an AI presentation maker cost?
Paid individual plans in this comparison range from about $6 to $25 a month. Look at what the credits cover and what top-ups cost, not just the headline price.
